Interfaith Vigil on Boston Common following Occupy Boston camp shutdown
Mon, 12/12/2011
Very early on the morning of December 10, Occupy Boston's camp in Dewey Square was evicted by the Boston Police. Twelve hours later, occupiers began gathering in the Boston Common to begin sorting out next steps. The Protest Chaplains held a vigil before General Assembly led by Andy Coate, member of First Parish Cambridge, and Laura Evonne Steinman, DRE at the Arlington Street UU church. Several UUs, carrying a Standing on the Side of Love banner, participated in a show of solidarity with the movement.
