Services are held every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. followed by “Coffee Hour,” a time to socialize with fellow congregants. Sunday School also begins at 10 a.m. and babysitting is provided for our youngest members.
The Eliot Church is an ecumenical congregation, affiliated with both the United Church of Christ and The Unitarian Universalist Association. At our historic church we are guided by Christian teachings and other religions and philosophies. Our members’ backgrounds range from Protestant to Roman Catholic, and from Jewish to Unitarian Universalist. Our congregation inspires a sense of spiritual and philosophical purpose, as we make our community a better place, within our walls and beyond.
Sunday School classes meet during the regular church service. On most Sundays, children in kindergarten through grade six attend the first twenty minutes of the worship service and then go to their classrooms. The Eliot Church Youth Group meets often after church, or for special activities or service events. The Religious Education Committee, the minister, and the church members provide guidance and staff all religious education programs.
