The Director of Faith Formation helps congregations, professional and lay leaders implement a vision for multigenerational congregations that integrate the passions, experience and gifts of all of our people, including children, youth, young adults and elders. She can help your congregation develop strategies for addressing developmentally appropriate faith formation needs of every generation, and put infrastructure in place to support these strategies.
The Director of Faith Formation is available for consultations, programs, and facilitations on the following issues:
- staffing for multigenerational ministry, including religious educators and youth directors
- best practices in all areas of lifespan faith development
- DRE transitions, searches, and exit interviews
- mission and vision for lifespan faith development programs
- integrating lifespan faith development into the larger ministry of your church
- continuing education and program planning for RE committees
- youth ministry, youth advising, and other youth programs
- RE leadership and committee retreat facilitation and training
- design and implementation of dynamic adult education programming
The Director of Faith Formation is also the primary liaison to ministers and religious educators around issues of faith formation and religious education. Don’t hesitate to call or write Deborah if you have questions about these vital areas of congregational life.
