UU Church of Reading Recognized at GA as a Breakthrough Practice Congregation

The UUA honored the UU Church of Reading, Massachusetts, together with four other “Breakthrough Practice Congregations.” The Reading congregation was chosen for its practice of involving children and youth in all aspects of Sunday morning worship from the opening welcome, announcements and reading to co-leading worship and playing music.

Since Reverend Tim Kutzmark began including children and youth in services four years ago, energy and excitement at are evident, membership has grown 15 percent annually and pledge income has gone up 157 per cent.  Read more at the Reading Congregation website.
