UUA/MBD Annual Program Fund
The APF raises about 37% of the total budget of the Unitarian Universalist Association. The services it provides to congregations directly are both varied and critical - such as the settlement of ministers, the development, and distribution of religious education materials, building loans, consultations and training, and district services. The Mass Bay District member of the Annual Program Fund Continental Committee is appointed by the UUA Board of Trustees to work with district organizations and to counsel each society about fund-raising. Woburn Grants
The Woburn Grants Committee serves as a link between district churches, affiliated organizations, and the MBD Board of Directors to administer the annual distribution of grants from the income of the Woburn Fund. This fund was created upon the dissolution of the Woburn Unitarian Church in 1990. Grants to Mass Bay District churches and affiliated organizations from the Woburn Fund have totaled over $175,000. Applications are due by March 1, 2010. For more information, click here.
Chalice Lighters
The Massachusetts Bay District's Chalice Lighter program comprises voluntary contributions from caring individuals to fund beneficial programs, help a troubled congregation, and promote the growth of Unitarian Universalism in the district. Chalice Lighters pledge to respond with $30-60 annually to assist congregations in our district.
