Leadership Retreats

MBD staff are available to facilitate leadership retreats for your board, staff, and lay leaders on topics of your choosing. Sometimes these retreats have a skill-building programmatic focus (like conducting meaningful staff evaluations, thinking about mission/vision work, or entering a time of staff transition), sometimes there is a particular issue, concern, or conflict that might benefit from outside facilitation, and sometimes your leaders simply need a day of planning prior to the start of a new church year. Whatever your need, MBD staff is here to help. 

MBD staff can also provide referrals to outside consultants who are specialists in capital campaigns, conflict resolution, mission/vision work, strategic planning, and a host of other topics.

Congregations who are Fair Share contributers to the District are invited to receive one program each year from MBD staff (like a board retreat) in gratitude for your commitment to support the district. Congregations who are not Fair Share, or who have already received an on-site program from MBD staff, will be asked to pay an honorarium for retreat facilitation services: typically $250 to $500 depending on the scope of the event.
